NGA Leading Governance CPD | Starts February 2021

Teaching Schools South West and its partner TSAs are offering member schools the opportunity to book their Governing Board Clerks and Chairs on the NGA Leading Governance Development Programmes which are funded by the DfE.  Both programmes begin in Feburary 2021.

Development for Chairs
This programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and provides chairs, vice chairs, committee chairs and future chairs with opportunities for developing leadership skills and confident governance.  Now delivered online the programme offers a blend of flexible learning and will take approximately three terms to complete.  In addition, Chairs attending the programme will also be notified if their board is entitled to funding for the Developing Board programme.  Click below to register your expression of interest:

Expression of Interest | Chairs Development

From the expression of interest form you will be directed to apply for the programme on the NGA website.  For this you will need your Governors GIAS number and two referees.

Development for Clerks
This accredited programme is designed for clerks with at least three months experience currently working in all school and trust settings. It helps develop the knowledge and skills needed for high-quality clerking.  This programme offers a blend of flexible learning over approximately a nine-month period.  Please register your interest below:
